A2:No. This module is precision-tuned for high-speed Ethernet. It is a multi-rate 2.5G 5G 10G copper SFP+ 100m transceiver. To maintain maximum stability at the 100m limit, it does not support 100Mbps or 1Gbps legacy speeds.
A3:To achieve a stable 100 meter 10Gbps Ethernet over copper link, you must use Cat6A or Cat7 shielded cables. Standard Cat6 is not recommended for distances over 35-50m at 10G speeds and will lead to packet loss on Brocade ICX platforms.
